Hello fellow Mustang owners, I just wanted to find a place I could chat with other Mustang owners. I purchased my first yesterday 1/20/2004. It is a 2004MustangDeluxe (Premium)2dr Coupe - 40 Year Anniversary Model.

I have wanted one for many years and just decided to give into my dream and buy one. Any words of wisdom for the first time owner?

Hey welcome. make sure that you treat her right, start her 15-20 minutes before departing, keep it under 4000 rpm, don't drive at the same constant speed on the interstate change you speed once in a while, get oil changes every 6 months, use synthetic oil now and keep using it, basically just take care of her.

is it a GT? Well whatever she is it's a stang and love it.

Peace.

Hey thank you so much! I was wondering if anyone actually read these posts. I will make sure I do what you reccommend. Also, I was told that the oil changes should be every 5000 (the first one at 3000).. Is this right?

By the way, she is not a GT, could not convince my bank of that one

I change my oil evey 3000 miles with Mobile One. Mobile One maybe expensive and maybe over kill, but it's cheap insurance.
