cold weather makes good HP but now you have to think traction, and keepin the motors in opp. temps etc, plus the big thing is the ppl next to the track bitch about it bein open this long so they kinda try to work with them.......... well i was gunna get a set of E7 heads(which where on the 87-93 5.0's) theres a guy in albany with them with head work(port/polish over size valves, and springs for a .600 lift cam which will work wioth my .542 i have on the garage floor)...... i have little stuff done to mine(no a/c,no air pump, batt in trunk, cold air,3in flowmaster exhaust, no floor instulation,no inner fender whels, ele.fans, and i run 93 oc. around town and 112 when i feel like playin) plus mines a 5 SPEED if my car would hook i could leave the line alot harder then you.... tell you the truth i dont know why mine runs like it does, the org. that i got the car from was an old guy who baby the car so that might have alot ot do with it.....

Im not sure which heads I want yet but I plan on getting a Ford Racing E cam. If I get new heads the smog crap is getting thrown out.

Ive only been running 87 octane in my car. I need to bump up the timing and run 93 I guess.

I run Ported E7's (came on the 94-95's as well) "stock" intake (ported lower)(old setup) and a B-cam other then a full Jacobs ignition with an 85,000 volt coil and the normal bolt ons I've run a best of 13.5 at 101 with a 1.8 60' with the car at full weight 3350lbs. No real need to run High octane unless you have a high compression motor that needs it. High octane fuel doesn't burn better to say, it just burns more even. sounds crazy, but its been tested. that said, I do run 91 or 93 when hot out to prevent pinging(detination)but 87-89 the rest of the time.
I have bumped my timeing as much as 18* with out high octain, just a realy good ignition system and have found I agree with most others, 14* or so seems to be the sweet spot, but that will depend on the cam you run as well.

the heads your talking about sound nice, any idea what he has run with them? the only thing I wish i did to mine when I ported them that I didn't was convert to larger valves. I love the look people give you when they find out my stock heads run beter then their 1000.00 heads.

100 shot, wet or dry? I've been thinking of the NOS Hitman kit. allows for 100-150 wet, and the nozel is small enought you can hide it on the lower part of the intake. Talk to Jr. at Delorenzo's about the nitrous. he is the man when it comes to that.

I dont plan on getting nitrous, atleast not now. I want the car to be faster on just the motor first.
Theres tons of stuff I want to do to the car but I need the money first.
