Matt - I would put the car as close to stock as possible: wheels, axleback, etc...
I was in the same "boat" when I sold my 1991 GT (that I bought new!) in 2007...for me (& kids) the car had a lot of memories & fun...was featured in many mags...I just did it! ...But, I also got the $$$ I wanted!
I was sick to my stomach the day I sold the car, but the guy showed up with "A LOT" of $100 bills! + I had the Cobra
Matt - if you need help with the Axlebacks, let me know... But take any pics with the STOCK wheels!! ...put your other wheels in the basement far out of eye sight!
...sometimes when people (buyers) see things in the "Garage" they tend to want you to "throw it in" to the deal! ...FYI
Tim.....I put the stockers back on the other day because I was a little bored when I came home early from work. The axlebacks took 30 mins to put on so that should not be an issue if I decided to put them back on, I still have the stock exhaust, and stock intake sitting in the basement. I am working on the wife right now but for some reason she thinks that the cobra is.........(i appologize).......ugly....Ya I know its far from that. She likes the GT as much as I do.....but she would be really sad to see it go. With my luck if I get it I would kill the clutch in a day....because I have not driven a stick in.....wow......11yrs

Not a valid thought, I hadn't driven a stick since I had a 1980 Dodge D-50 in the middle to late 80's. It's like riding a bike. You'll accustomed to the feel feel of the clutch very quickly.
