No it was a silver vert.Â* Looked pretty good.Â* LOUD!!!
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!
As I was reading this I was going to ask you if it was a silver convertible, the guy works at one of the shops near me in Guilderland on Rt 20. I don't know him (nor do I really know if that was his car, but how many silver cobra verts are there around here?), but I'd pass that beauty all the time when its parked there, and have had the pleasure to hear that baby under WOT. When I was riding around one day, I swear to God I thought a fighter jet was coming up behind me, then the Cobra passed me and my jaw was on the floor...Best sounding car I have EVER heard. Its a sad day.
I stopped at Metro body shop today to see if some bubbling paint under my hood was covered under the 5 year unlimited mile corrosion warranty (which it isn't, so make sure you watch for that while its still under the 36,000k warranty) and I saw a 2003-2004 silver Saleen, absoultely gorgeous car from the rear parked there. On my way to the door, I passed around the front to see what was up with it. The front left corner was absolutely trashed, hood was a mess, and the engine compartment didn't look so good. The lady there told me he was pissed when he brought it in yesterday (by the looks of the damage, someone either cut him off and t-boned that section of the car, or he hit something on the corner there).
So, I guess its been a sad day for nice stangs in our area. []
Real sad if you ask me......because mine is still covered. The way I am looking at it....I still want to wait for more salt and snow melt to go away so the roads are not too bad. SO.....if that storm does not happen on Monday and the weather is good I will take it out next week. Just need to keep thinking no snow.......
Don't feel bad. It's nice to see other people driving their Mustangs around. Each time I see one I eitherlook at it and smile....or say F that bastard ......and that chick on your hood is hot [sm=Awwww.gif]
Well.....today I decided to take a look under the car cover to make sure that my car was doing ok. Took the bricks off of the tarp on one side of the car, and than rolled half of the cover off...once that happened the wind picked up and all hell broke loose. The blue tarp went flying off and ended up going going about sixty feet before it got stuck on a mailbox. Then..the car cover landed in what was left of the snow upside down so it got all dirty. When this happened my neighbor came out and asked me if I needed some help. I said since the cover is going for a walk I might as well check out how the paint on the chin spoiler and louvers match (perfect) and throw all of the holiday gifts in. I sat in the car for a few minutes putting the stuff in and than once that was done I wrapped her back up and said my goodbye. It was a tease not driving it....but it was nice to at least see how the paint was and to get the stuff out of the basement
i went and got casey washed today. but i cant wait till spring to give her a few coats of wax. my friend was itchin to take out his 94 Z28, but luckily didnt.
hey matt, you know how metro works. what you think they would charge me for paint on a front bumper, hood, and sidescoops?
I paid $183 for the louvers and cdc aggressive chin spoiler.....as far as how much it would be to paint side scoops, front bumper, and a hood...it may be a good chunk. They charge more for specific paints...so it all depends. Go to the body shop...I think I worked through Gena (wears glasses). Be really nice and friendly and she may hook you up......I turned on the charm when I was there ...so that may have helped as well
Kngdaka......$100 is not that bad for a chin spoiler...beats paying $200+ to get it painted on top of the price when you order it online. Either way both of your cars will look pretty sick with the new body parts.
