I am moving from Chicago to Baltimore and I want to know if anyone has any ideas on 1) if there are any good speed shops to recommend in the Baltimore / DC area or 2) how I go about finding one! This summer I am putting some serious money into my GT and I want a good place to start. Thanx!

future mods include: supercharger (digging the new Saleen!), suspension kit (think I will do BMR), solid one piece driveshaft (Dennys Driveshafts, Axle Exchange, D&D Performance), headers, x-pipes, muffler upgrade, upgrade to 14" brakes with cooling kit, heat extractor hood kit, hood lift kit, Nitto tires...when I get more $$!!

I'm a "consultant guy" for the members of the largest mustang club on the Atlantic region. The club has several events and does all sorts of social things.
Anyway I provide a service to fellow mustang brothers in the area who need some help figuring out what to do with their cars and making sure they go to the right people and don't get ripped off or waste their time.
PM me if you seriously want to commit to some particular goals and are about 1 month out from making them happen.
I know every last shop in the area.

Tip of the Month, October: Do not buy the $730 Roush Exhaust which a Mangnaflow rep says costs to $117 make (polished, all ss), buy the $170 Roush Exhaust Tips estimated to cost $46 to make and weld them to another company's muffler. This also lets you choose how your car sounds.

Yeah, I went up and visited JPC. Justin was great. Showed me around, gave me good ideas. But when I talked about the new gears I wanted it would have been very expensive. Cost of gears plus install kit then about 6 hours of labor...a buddy had his done out in Chicago at a speed shop for $500 total! Not that a pro shouldn't get their due but almost a grand is a lot of cash for gears I think!
