Default Black car help.. any experience with Poorboys?

Well since I bought my Black 07 GT I am worried about keeping the paint looking good, without those ugly swirl marks that black cars tend to get. I have read a lot of good things about poorboys products. Anyone know what is best to use, and what order to apply them in. From what I have been reading I need to use their Blue Polish with Carnauba, and also their Blue Nattys Paste Wax. What order would I use these in? Then what about their EX sealant, is this need, how often, etc....

Any other recommendations are welcome if anyone has experience with a black car... thanks!

I use Poorboys and love them. Very easy to use and give great results. Answer to your questions are You would want to wash the car first of course then Clay the entire car follow up with the Blue Polish to clean and shine. Then apply a coat of the EX Sealant and then apply a another coat of it 24 hours later. After that then I would use the Natty's Blue since you have a black car. As for application method I use the Porter Cable Random Orbital Polisher. I highly suggest the kit below. And i also suggest joining the forum i linked to help you learn and ask specific question you may have. The guys on that forum are very knowledgeable and friendly.

I would call Autogeek and ask if you can substitute the SSR1 for the Blue Polish and the SSR2.5 for the EX Sealant.

You can also talk to Justin at www.obsessivedetail.com about poorboy's stuff. He has a great selection of products and applicators and knows his stuff. He has a sale posted on sealants and polishes I think on his site right now. Not sure but I think he forum name on here is Juztang if you want to send him a pm.

06GTRAD had some good recommendations. If you are wanting to remove swirls I would use the Poorboy's SSR line. If you are wanting a polish that will prep the paint for your wax and sealant I would use the Poorboy's Pro Polish. Next I would apply ClearKote Red Moose glaze to give the paint a wet look. Next top with Poorboy's EX Sealant w/Carnauba for great durability and reflection. Lastly, either top with Poorboy's Natty's blue or ClearKote Carnauba Wax. Now these are just personal preference, the Poorboy's is a paste wax and the ClearKote is a liquid Wax. I also have a new product that is a wipe on and walk away sealant that is a huge seller.

Right now, all of my waxes and sealants are on sale. Let me know if you have anymore product questions. I will be glad to help!

By the way, I do recommend claying before going through all of the steps. Claying in my opinion is an essential step in the process.
