Default Bad Wax Job

Hey guys,

Any advice you can give me right now would help.

I have a '66 with turquoise paint that is wearing on the front hood, top and back trunk. I applied some RAIN DANCE liquid car wax to it to bring out the color. The opposite happened. I have this dull, waxy residue that has gone DEEP into the paint. I can't get it out. I have used 3M wax remover. I have even experimented with a touch of kerosine. I can't crack it. Does anyone have a suggestion for something that will bring the old color back to the surface? When it is wet it looks great (as all cars tend to) but once it dries, I have those same circular wax marks all over where I waxed it.

Someone got a deep cleaning solution?

Thanks. I think I am officially pissed off. [:@]

Default RE: Bad Wax Job

Do you have any pictures of these places? Did you use the wax in the sun or shade? Was the paint surface cool? It could be many different things or you could even have paint failure and need a repaint.

My Obsessive Detail Light Polish will remove oxidization and bring the paint back to life if there is still something there to work with. Then I would top with my Wet Wax. My products don't have any residue and come off with ease.
