I think I am gonna go ahead and also get a set of the rikens. They are the best price around. Online, plus shipping, they are still cheaper to pay extra to have them mounted and balanced, than buying them at the store. From what I found, they are made by Michelin. The reason they are so cheap is because it is an unadvertised brand.
6 months and 5-6K miles and mine still hook great when it is warm out. Tread is still very good. I might try Nittos next, depending on how these hook at the track, but I WILL buy these tires again. Even my tuner brought up how well they hooked up.

JLT/tune, Hurst, MBRP Axlebacks. Still slow, but fun
Hell yeah,I just found this thread on a google search on the Raptors. Just found a set of 18"x9" Shelby Razors shod with 255/45/18 Raptors......$1289.95 mounted and balanced from latemodelrestoration.com
Now that`s a deal. Just saved me $300.00 over the next best price of Nitto Nt-555`s.
