Im thinking low budget, the shell was an lx, and I have a 8.8 rear end, no transmission yet, im thinking 5 spd as i find autos boring to drive.

Here Ill get some pictures to show what I have as a base to build from

You would literally no driveshaft... the tail shft on the trans will be right at the axel. You would have to make the engine work with the suspension.

And to make the suspension work the rear would have to be REALLY stiff and just the slip yoke to a ujoint to the rear end....

Yeah the motor will literally have to rock with the rear suspension.

Maybe you could do a independent rear suspension like the newer vehicles have.

It would be hard for me to get a irs rear end though, most stuff I could use is from scrap cars,I could use the back end of the bmw but theres no way it would handle the torque

Well, you will probly need to build it up.

What about the kits you can get for those rally cars in the deserts? I know damn well those things can handle torque
