There are better AWD systems out there. The issue would be clearance for the front axle considering the axle line of the Mustang. If you're really good at fabricating frames and suspension, you could do it...but why?

You know the awd aerostars.........
What if you had the front and and transfer case out of one of them.......
and a fox,
its not a could it be done? Its a ho much trouble would it be? Clearance in the front for the diff would be tricky
I need something to **** around with, right now the mustang and all the parts seem kinda boring as if i work on it it will just be another Mustang, I want it to be different
and without something else to mess with i start doing stuff to the golf which scares me because i need it as my DD
You'd have better luck putting the Mustang body onto an AWD chassis. You could try and move the engine back or stretching the front axle forward, but either would really destroy the lines of the car.
