i havent done much to my car yet, but i generally do all work to my cars. well i wont touch the tranny or rear end, if those need work i take them somewhere. sometimes ill have to take something somewhere if i need some welding done or ill get some help if im having problems figureing out whats wrong. but im the one who gets dirty and gets the thing going again.

i do all my own maintenance and upgrading on everything i own, there is so much more pride in it that way.
Me too (for the most part). There are things that I won’t even attempt tho, such as gears and other things that I just don’t have the facilities, tools, or knowledge/skills to do.
But I TOTALLY agree, it is very rewarding to do most of it on your own!

Depends on the work, as long as it doesnt involve Opening the Engine/Tranny I'll do it myself,
otherwise I'll leave it to the professionals since I would like my car back together and running
in a reasonable amount of time.
Here's the biggest project Ive done other than CAI/Exhaust
Box is now Leather Covered, I need to get some Pix of that.

I love working on my car, but sometimes I had problems I could not figure out so I had to take it to the shop and sometimes I do not have time. Yes, you do feel a sense of pride when you know that sweat, blood, and tears are somewhere in your car.
Even if you do not know how to use a wrench, start reading manuals and try to work on your car, the key word is TRY. my two cents.
I've done everything on my car myself, built my engine from the block up in my garage, exhaust, brakes, you name it i do it myself......(with S*hitty tools)[:'(]
I do what I can right now without compromising my warranty. There's a fine line you have to walk there.
Once it's not under warranty anymore, I will do the work myself as I always have with my cars. I like to know exactly what has been done and there is a certain pride in doing it yourself.
I've always done all the work on my cars. A lot of stuff I do is the first time attempt so it takes me longer than a pro..but I am picky and my goal is to do the job 100%. I take my time and make sure I do it right. A good shop will do the same thing but a lot of them try to rush through a job as quick as they can and I am sure most of you know the result.
