Default 98 Ford Escort zx2 dohc head gasket replacement

I found a 98 zx2 with 120k and immaculate interior and exterior for sale for cheap because it needs a head gasket. I am willing to do the job, but how had would it be with the dohc and exhaust manifold bolts? Has anyone ever done this or know what is involved and if I am able to learn how?

Edit: also posted in gen tech, figured i'd get more replies there.

Getting the head off is easy just need to see if the head is cracked. So send it to the machine shop first. and make sure you have the cams & crank aligned. Oh and if you can get all data that will help with a lot of the install
