My Camaro has summer tires on it, I could probably make it 10 feet then slide into a pole.
It's not that I can't drive it in the winter, I drove it last winter but it was very mild snow/ice wise. I just don't want to risk crashing it, of if someone hit me and I had no other vehicle, I would be screwed.
Dude don't get a ford or a chevy. Crap quality. Sure they maay be good initially but once you put 100000 miles on it, you'll notice. Mazda's are probably the only good cars left on the market.

Yeah the 4.0 ford V-6 LAst a lifetime i had a 4.0 explorer for a winter beater/ dd when my car was being worked on like 220k no problems ever, and my brother had a 91 ranger with the 4.0 v-6 had 355k on it then the driveshaft went so he sold it to my neighbor, he fixed it and its still running lol. so 360k+?
I bought a goldfish, named it after my ex-girlfriend, and let it die. It's really the little things in life.
Police in dallas are giving local drivers cowboys tickets instead of speeding tickets
I'd say get a 4 cylinder 93-97 ford probe. I would have said the cobalt ss or gtp, but since it's a winter car, i'd imagine you don't want lots of power at low end. maybe a turbo fwd eclipse/laser/talon if you're looking for power, but good behaving on the snow. I thought the 93-97 ford probe was an awesome car for the handling & braking factor. I've never driven a car that handled as good as they do stock.
If it's something you might end up wrecking, i'd say just look for something that there are lots of in the junkyard for spare parts if you wreck.
