Wow you're an idiot then. Taking both hands off the wheel, concentrating on a 4x4 inch or smaller screen, and trying to hit buttons the size of a corn kernel is not as if not more dangerous than driving drunk?

I don't wish bad things on people, but if you die in a head on collision DUE TO a driving while texting accident, the world would not be worse off.

Coincidence? I think not.

I've got an invention that would cut down on accidents related to playing with media devices while driving, but its my fortune to make, not OTs so I will keep it to myself.
is it a camera that you hook up to the media device so you can see where you're going while you text?

It's a device that takes what you say and puts it into the phone just like computer dictating software. I win.

Awww poor little boy, glad to see he will be fine. I can stand even seeing people on the phone while I drive let alone texting. I think every state should implement the hands-free rule.

Just did some google searching, looks like someone beat me to it

I came up with the idea when I first started driving, mainly for iPod purposes. Always had a problem of drifting out of my lane if I was looking too long for a song on the iPod. So, thinking about the Corvette's little feature, if I could somehow make a product that would attach to the dashboard in front of the steering wheel that would wirelessly link to the iPod (or any other device), I could operate that device with one hand while looking at the Heads Up Display and the road with my eyes.

I don't think there's anything in production like it right now, but it was registered as a patent in 2006

You should invent something that can reheat foods very quickly without using heating elements. I keep buying these frozen dinners that take forever to make in the oven.
