Not exactly my cup of tea but in these days anything that smacks of factory hi performance is good news. Especially when coming from the Blue Oval camp.
I know that the older SHO Taurus' were pretty hot compared to the more pedestrian models so this is pretty cool beans.
This makes me wonder though, if Ford has that 350hp/350tq engine, why not put it in the mustang, up the GTs power, and kick the piss out of the Camaro line up? Or least offer them.
Anyway, I would love to see an SHO Taurus again, especially if it was offered in a manual like some of the early ones.

IIRC those late 80s early 90s SHOs with a few mods could handle the mustangs of that time. Wasn't there rumors of Ford bringing the SVO back with a boosted 4 or 6 banger?

The sixxer SHO was only .3 seconds slower 0-60 than my 87GT and had a top speed of 155. I loved my manual except for the torque steer on launch. LOL.....220hp Yamaha motor.
I agree.....why don't they put the higher hp motor in the Stang???
This is just plain sad... Theyre making the taurus faster than the mustang? Talk about ****ed up priorities. Ford fails when it comes to power, about time you guys saw that.
