I have had my Stang for 5-6 months now and I have dealed with the cops 2 times now. Once on my first night out with it I had no plates and my sister's where in the car 9 and 12 years old so I was being very cautious/careful as I always am when they are in the car. I was going to make a left to go for ice cream and there they were Cherries & Blueberries I almost **** myself haha. He pulled me over and asked if it was mine and all that and for my licsence and I had only had it 3 months. There are 2 rules if you are in your first 6 months or before 18 years old. #1 Nobody under 25 in the car (BROKE IT) #2 No driving after 11PM or before 5AM (BROKEN) it was 11:10PM anyway I was as polite as can be Yes Sir, No Sir, Sorry Sir and I think I had a tear I am not sure haha anyway he just said to go home and be safe. If he wanted to he could have had my licscense suspended for up to a year so I was thankful as hell. Anyway the next time I was an idiot and parked in a handicap space in front of 7/11 since it was full. I came out and there were 2 cop cars and a parking cop behind my car I was like omfg... and I realized they were there to remove a bum that had gotten out of hand... when I walked the walk of shame to my car.... he asked if it was mine and if i was handicapped.... I said no I am so sorry and he asked for my licscence and said not to do it again and let me off. Also both of the cops in these stories complimented my car at least 2 times haha =) I think they see me as the fat dork who has the mustang instead of the asshole so they root for me or something either way I have been super lucky haha anyway there are my stories haha

^^^ fat dork who has a mustang... LOL . my brother is a state trooper and honestly all of the troopers i have met that work with him are huge muscle car guys. now imports with loud exhausts are a differant story but muscle cars get a lot of respect. not saying this is true but there is a story i heard from someone about a corvette that got pulled over for speeding and the police told him they'd let him go if he did "one hell of a burnout" while leaving. So the cops blocked the road, the vette filled the air with smoke, everyone went on their way
I think that (ESPECIALLY IN LA) the cops respect a kid who is taking American Muscle and keeping it classy to Muscle car standars that is =) and find it refreshing from the kids who grab a civic or some junky import and make it sound like garbage and put whatever they can find at autozone for under 20$ on there car..... Mustangs are outnumbbered 100-1 out here by those guys haha.

My son had told me we have an unmarked Mustang GT cop car running around here, I am not happy. We recently came to an intersection, would have sat and waited had it been any other car, but since it was another GT coming I decided to gun out and put a bit of a show on in front of him thru second gear. Well after the rush, my smarta$$ kid says "I hope that isn't the cop" Oh crap, look in the rearview and see stripes... "he doesn't strips does he, cause this guy does." Good news it wasn't him.
So Monday I come to a red light, veer to the empty right lane so front row. Couple nondescript cars next to me, no one behind me. Not paying much attention since not feeling well, just want to get to drugstore for drugs and get home. Just as the light goes green I glance in mirror and notice a light gray GT. I am being cool, you know sick and all, so take nice and easy, but of course ready to give him a taste of my supercharged exhaust if he rides me. He doesn't, actually gets in the other lane but stays back. I get done at store and come back same way, and there on side of road is that gray GT with his cop lights on in the back window, regular plates and all! If no lights on, you could not tell...this is scary and should be outlawed LOL.
