No,Im no porter,Ive been a tech for over 3 yrs for ford and worked in a few small shops since I was 20,I just turned 30.Ive been in your shoes,working on the lube rack sux.I would like to file a complaint but,Im just going to hopefully find something quick.That place is so damn crooked anyway,they rip off customers nonstop,when we are slow,they write up warranty work on cars thats not needed,oh and did I mention that our sales dept got raided 5 months ago for salesman selling drugs?Hell one of our porters used to roll joints in customes cars and get high in the wash bay.He actually dropped a dimebag right in the service isle,my boss fouund it and did not say anything and laughed about it.He "flushed"it down the toilet....Right.That place is full of so much BS,I think this may be a blessing in disguise.All the other techs I dont think want to get involved,they dont want to lose there jobs and most are ass kissers anyway.Its like a damn high school there.

I hate to say it but some things you just shouldnt complain about. life will never be fair and to grumble about the bosses nephew is never a good idea. Its obvious that he is a slacker, but out of family bonds he got a job. You dont have that bond, so therefore you are disposable. I have seen situations like this before and to complain will always result in you leaving. Its just one of lifes unfair situations. I am sorry to hear about you being unemployed and I hope you find something soon. Good luck.

Being unemployed sucks but there is a valuable lesson to learn here. No matter how good you are at your job, you are a number. Period.
As long as somebody else is signing your paycheck it isn't 'your' job. It's your employers job.
Also, at a lot of places, discussion of or comparing salaries is grounds for immediate termination.
Now quit your bitching and get a job.
Yeah,I know my post was everywhere,but thats the last thing on my mind.I know its not my job to keep up on other employes pay,but the point is he hired a relative,and kept it a secret,even from the owner and its company policy to not hire relatives in the same dept.As far as me learning something?No.I busted my ass to get this job going through school for 2 yrs and spent a hell of alot of money to get my dream job of working for ford and have had to slowly climb up the ladder,and just because you are related to someone,you should not be hired in and keep hush hush about it.He was just looking for an excuse and this is the best he could come up with.Its funny though because one of our diesel techs went to mcdonalds about 3 weeks ago in a customers truck and actully hit someone in the parking lot,nothing was ever said about that though.Im dont mean to come on here bitching,but it sux being fired,ive never been canned before and for such a stupid reason.Anyway,thanks for reading,feels good to get some stuff off my chest.
