Yeah I'm going to fight it myself. I got into law in the first place because many lawyers I've spoken with on various subjects have lost debates with me. I've pulled points out of law that they didn't even think of. All of them told me I was in the wrong business and seriously should consider law...so cut to a few years later and I'm on my way to getting my corporate law degree to fight corporations and corruption. This will be right up my alley.

Btw in the state of Florida they have a statute or law called "comparative negligence" (many states have varying versions of this law) which is explained below.........Florida has a comparative negligence rule. Under the comparative negligence rule, the judge reduces the amount of any damage award by the percentage of the victim's contribution to his or her own injuries. For example, if a jury finds that a plaintiff suffered $100,000 in damages, but was 30 percent at fault, the judge reduces the damage award by 30 percent to $70,000.

So under this rule even if they deemed that I was partially at fault, the company would still be liable to pay a percentage of the damages. I'm betting they'll play hardball at first, then cave after I initiate a lawsuit. If they don't, then I get practice at what I'll be doing the rest of my life.

btw, six figure attorneys aren't the best just because they make that amount of money. No matter how good you are, there's always someone better. I'm willing to bet Lebron James would have whooped up on some NBA vets when he was still in high school. You can't gauge a persons ability on what they make, or how much experience they have. Sure once I have more experience I'll be a much more potent attorney, but you can't just make a blanket statement and lump everyone on the planet that hasn't finished law school as inferior to present acting attorneys...that's just illogical.

im debating a small claims suit myself. my roommate drug a garded hose along the side of my car. stratched drivers side fender, all way down to the c pilliar. got an estimate to have it buffed, 80 bucks. he said theres no damage to it and 80 is to much. So did some quick research. id have to pay like 35dollars for some small claims application, and worst case scenario. he dont sho it gets dismissed. so kinda a waste of time.

Well, you now got a good excuse to get a Cobra bumper out of the deal.
Good luck, I hope it all works out for you.

lol... my brother got hit by a dodge ram when he was on his pedal bike.. the guy tried to sue for a new bumper, grille and hood, untill we told him we had 3 witnesses including a police officer that said he was speeding and at fault. I'm pretty sure the police report said something about the skid marks being a certian length that they determined he was speeding.
