Baby backs are relatively easy to make good. Try your hand at beef ribs sometime. You really have to slow cook beef ribs and then catch them before they fall off the bone. Also, more prep with trimming fat and removing the membrane, but so worth the effort. It's a thing of love.

No, the Sweet baby Rays was used a base for my BBQ beans. I try not to use my homemade sauce in the beans and Ribs because I don't want burn people out on one flavor. But when I'm lazy, Sweet baby Rays goes on everything..LOL

I will have to try some beef ribs..Those are better cooked using all wood no? Most of the time I am either making baby backs or spare ribs. Baby backs are nice and easy. Oh and a big + on removing the membrane.

To the rest of you guys, what do you guys use for a dry rub?

I usually get the baby backs, add vinegar apply my dry rub and cook for about 4 hours or so..I usually add some hickory wood chips in the middle of the process... Around the last hour, a baste the ribs with some home made BBQ sauce every ten minutes or so...

If you don't know how to make your own bbq sauce, I recommend one of "Sweet baby Rays" variations..Good stuff..

Whats your favorite recipe, and how do you cook?

so, you know youre OT addicted when youve just finished cooking some delicious foods and you think 'oh! i gotta take a picture of this and make a thread of it! why yes! where is my camera/phone!?'

im just mad that youre making me drool.. sorry..

I just use both hand.

One thing when doing beef ribs. You can do a slow smoke method, but it's tedious like doing a brisket. The best method I've used on beef ribs is to use a crock pot with seasoned up water (I have a huge one) or a 13"X9" type baking pan and cover tight with foil and set the oven temp to 325 for about 3 hours. When I do beef ribs, I separate them before cooking. Pork ribs stay on the rack.
