What's worse?

Teaching someone on a newer transmission like my mustang that has 13K miles on it? Or having them learn on my 90 civic with 150K?

I've let a buddy of mine try out what a clutch like ours feels like, just a little different from his 98 accord lol

when i tried learning on my dads cavalier before i got my actual liscence I failed MISERABLY>>>> it was ugly, anger, clutch smell, lurching, whip lash, frustration.. etc...

and my brothers not one I expected to catch on.. i think the method i used was far more successful

1. show them engagement point
2. hold rpms
3. slowly slip clutch

my method > balance the clutch and gas and give and go.....
lol i've had so many times my ex bfs tried to teach me to drive a stick that way...i never could figure it out, my bf even tried to teach me it that way, an i couldnt count how many times i killed it, i just couldnt get it....than my bf told me to slowly ease off the clutch untill it went forward...than give it some gas....PING!! I finally got it.
later i pmed my exbf's telling them they suck at teaching people to drive a stick

i was told left off the clutch and give it gas at the same time and do it simultaneously <<<<< ease off clutch till it engages and starts moving than give some gas.

I went out and drove a mazda speed 6 6spd....awesome car, loved it, was quick, only thing i didnt like was that the clutch was not as stiff as mine, but it was bearable...i killed it the first time i left off the clutch

I drove my 90 civic 5spd for 13 years before I bought the ford. Felt similar to me. Piece of cake going between the two.
