I had this posted int he new member area... they closed the thread... not sure why because the car is STILL missing. Not cool! All I am trying to do is get the word out. Since the frame has not been recovered, it is still out there somewhere. It is possible the VIN numbers have been changed... the car is a different color... what have you. So please take a look and if you see it or see the rims, report it... it would really make my lifetime,
My Stang was stolen on April 22 from the Ft. Lauderdale airport area. It could be in ANY direction by now.
1989 Ford Mustang Coupe - 5 spd
Tag# U79 8PB
VIN: 1FABP40E2KF183253
Carrot Orange with Blue Interior
They broke out the back driver's side window to gain access... so it WASN'T a professional job. On the back window there is a LARGE white sticker with some Chinese characters. The sticker may have been removed so there would be a discoloration in the tint where it used to be. Also, the 17" rims are a very unique with rivets around the edges and are a German brand called Privat. It also has a five lug/four wheel disk conversion and a rear end out of a 1995 Cobra.
There is a considerable ding in the center of the driver's side back fender (from a rock the stupid lawn guy blew at my car... it'll be HARD to fix that so it may be easy to spot even if it IS repainted). The car was originally white and I did not have the engine pulled so it was still white inside. Also, when the body shop painted it, they rushed the job and didn't wait for the paint to dry... when they put the back window in, it buckled the paint. The same thing happened on the front grill near the windshield too... also, when they closed the trunk lid, it buckled the paint on the driver’s side so if the tail has been removed, it will definitely be noticeable. Also, they didn't cover the tailpipes very well and got some over spray on them. I don’t know what they did, but the clear coat was starting to peel off all over the top of the car too. I was pretty upset at the job they did but, in retrospect, it may help identify the car more easily.
There are also a couple of quirks: no e-brake (due to the 5-lug conversion), the radiator is on it’s last leg (it was leaking), it was idling REALLY crazy the day before it was thiefed (I was going to bring it in to the shop the week after it was boosted) so yeah… it is on the verge of breaking down if it isn’t already chopped up. **sigh** :*( Also, the interior wasn't perfect... it had a few holes here and there. Most notably, three rips on the side of the driver's seat and the back seat had a few holes in the middle of the seat. There wasn't any rust on the body of the car... there was however, some rust in the bottom of the trunk.
The car was bone stock except an off road X-Pipe... It also had this very audible "tick" from a rocker arm on the passenger's side banging against the manifold cover... so it really wasn't worth much to anyone but me. Yeah, she had her issues but, it was MY FRIGGIN CAR and I WANT it back! It’s not just about money, the car was a project I started with my Dad and he has since been a victim of vehicular homicide; so I am pretty attached to it.
It wasn’t insured so don’t even frickin’ ask!! The reason is; these Foxes only have a book value of 2,000.00 in PERFECT condition. I would be lucky to get even half that so it really didn’t make any sense. Since I don’t make a lot of money, I had to cut some corners and that was one of the corners I had to cut. Even if it WAS insured, no price could be put on the thing… because there is no way I can find another Mustang with a Chinese food stain left by my Father on the passenger’s side seat.
So PLEASE take a good look at it and do what you can to help a girl out. If you see it, or if you have any information, PLEASE report it. Beaten up; duct taped idiots in the trunk are extra brownie points!! Thank you!

Best reguards.
Thanks... I wish I could get it back because it really isn't replaceable. Yeah, I could get another Mustang but, it's not going to be the same. Whatever happens... I learned that no matter what, I need to do everything I can to prevent this from happening to me again... AND I need to move to another neighborhood! I thought this one was fine... PFFT! I have gotten a LOT of awesome ideas from people like GPS... I didn't even know something like that existed!! I mean I knew there was GPS to track where you were but I didn't know it was something I could put in my car and/or afford!! **shrugs**
Unfortunately, it is going to take me a really LONG time to get another car... because I don't make a whole lot. This has totally set me back by YEARS!
OH man... it's the WORST!! I am losing my mind over one... TWO and I would be going postal!! SO I don't know how you got through it! Were they recovered?? What happened??
did you find it? if not did did u replace it? sucks to loose something you love
Nope I didn't find it... and NOPE haven't replaced it. Alas, I am too flippin broke... I wish Thankfully, gas prices are going back up so that means I may be able to get another one for CHEAP!!
Yeah it does... it was like losing a friend. **sigh** I know... it's crazy.
Sorry to hear that its still gone, hopefully it will turn up, or you'll at least find out what happened with it. Good luck, I can only imagine what it must feel like.

Thanks... I would love to find out what happened to it. As much time as passed, not sure if I ever will. It is getting bleaker and bleaker every day.
I can tell ya: it isn't fun... you feel violated, you feel like nothing is safe, you think all kinds of crazy stuff. I don't even feel comfortable jogging around my neighborhood anymore. I know it's probably silly but, I never expected my car to be stolen either. I am always thinking what else is going to happen?!? Is my house going to be broken into?!?! **shakes head**
