I'm praying I can swing classes for a few days...

How do you prevent dry sockets? No straws, no chewing, anything else?

Yeah, no straws. You can chew (more like bite) but don't get the food near your molars. I got food back there and tried to clean it out since I thought the incisions were healed enough... that's what started my problem. I was fine right after and up to like 2 days after the surgery, but then I got dry socket and everything went to hell. Just listen to everything your dentist/oral surgeon tells you to do and you should be good.

Were they impacted and below the gums??? Because that's a whole different (hellish) story.

I had to get knocked out for mine... my surgery was at like 9 am... I vaugly remember being slightly awake afterwards, swearing up a storm and making obscene comments... then I woke up at 5:30 the next morning for 20 mins, puking and bleeding and more swearing, then I woke up 10 hours later with what felt like the worlds biggest hangover...

turns out I had a bad reaction to the anesthesia when the put me under...

couldnt eat anything for 3 days, felt like crap for a week... watching tv and playing FPS shooters made me dizzy for a few days too

but again, I had a terrible reaction...
