I don't understand all those transmission problems.
Doesn't the Maro and Stang share the same manual tranny?

The mustang stock doesnt make enough power to damage it?

That's not it son.
People with blown S197 (450hp range) don't destroy their trannies.
Maybe GM uses a cheap clutch system?

exactly. you acn develop a car for years, but once its mass produced and into consumer hands, problems will develop in the first year. they arent going to mass produce thousands to find defects as the run goes on- they use a couple hundred in testing. now that theres 10,000 of these things and growing, problems are going to come up. give it a year.

did for ever find that problem that let water into the ECU and killed it?
