wow, it's funny to see all the import hate I just love fast cars, I've owned imports until my mustang. they're two different things really, imports are high tech and lots of boost, domestics are simple V8 rumble. both can be fast, both can be dog slow
I beat plenty of domestics when I had my turbo CRX, 300whp in a 2200 pound car is a nice combo it was fun to embarrass vette owners and mustang owners with my little car at the same time I love how my mustang sounds and RWD is too much fun. between my S2000 and my Mustang I won't be able to go back to FWD.
anyway like I said both can be fast and both can be slow. just because you're making fun of the other guy doesn't make you faster, you just may get embarrassed
1000+ rwhp supras can look stock and very very nice. But those fox bodies are how should i say it.....outdated....
a stock looking supra looks like a stock supra, nothing special. and it still sounds like a supra, nothing special. fox body's are outdated, but you can pick one up super cheap, mods are cheap, hp is cheap, speed is cheap, you can have a 12 sec street car that sounds bada$$ for 10k. try that with a supra. i picked up my fox body for 3k, works perfectly and has 60k miles, no dents, rims like new, interiior like new, and its a mustang. i sold my import to drive the fox, and now i feel complete.
i dont hate imports, its just that the mustang is much better, any mustang. i'm a mustang guy, and anything else just aint the same.
fox body, plain and simple. looks 100x better than any supra.
who's gonna say that they would take a stock supra with rims over this fox with saleen sc wheels?
if you would take a supra over this, you should turn in your mustang membership card right now!
and why am i defending a mustang against a supra on a mustang forum?

ya but at the end of the day you had to get out of your crx and look at it without puking......I would be embarrassed to drive it and even more to let people know I spent money to make it fast......might as well done up a shopping cart IMO.
its one thing to be mad fast and another to be fast and look good. That is something most imports can not do, they look like family cars or lil gas savers. Nothing mean looking about them at all. 4 doors = baby seat in the back.....IMO
drag cars are not built for looks, they are built for spped. once you go into 600+hp cars, it better be built to drag to some extent or the hp is wasted, its just a dyno queen that doesnt get traction. when you have a 600+hp mustang, it is capable of 10 sec passes or less if properly equipped to do so. for a street car there is no need for it go above 550 rwhp bc you will never be able to use more hp on the street safely.
and i would never get a honda, i dont care how fast it is or what engine you put in it. its like a midget taking steroids, you may be the strongest midget in the world, but you will look ridiculous.
300ZX after the block is built and tuned (hopefully in 2 months) will be at 650HP, used for road courses but should still lay down 10 second runs at the strip. I watch NASCAR and you can see where the good drivers are but for my brother and I, there's no racing like road racing. Going 145MPH straight is fun but not as challenging, Going 180mph and turning left is a little harder, going 150 on straights and slamming through lefts, rights, and everything in between, thats fun and hard. I love Mustangs and classic American muscle but its only so good until you have to turn (look up HICAS
