I am not surprised. Fast Food restaurants are about cheap fast food and thats what the American people want. So if local prices are on the rise then the solution is to start importing to help keep the prices down because **** from places like South America, China etc... are dirt ass cheap.
Sure you lose out in quality but as long as the people keep demanding lower prices then they are going to have to suffer with lesser quality.
A big part of it is greed from the American cattle ranchers. They like to complain about the expense of maintaining quality, but I saw a special around the time of all the mad cow bs. The beef came from the US BUT they blamed the feed that they were "importing" on the problem. So it's ok for them to import to run their business, but not ok for Mc Donald's.
Bottom line, meet the price of imported beef or suck it. Quit trying to get the American people to boycott businesses that are trying to give the consumer what they want, just because they can't strong arm them into buying their price gouging products.
Solution: Restructure, get rid of corruption, ????, profit.

Quality is the last thing i consider when thinking about mcdonalds.
100% exactly! I don't to micky dees to experience their awesomely tasting, nutritionally rich hamburgers. I go there cause all I have is a $1 and want to get the most out of it. And to be quite honest, I like it that way. Keep importing from south america mcdonalds!! yee haw
