Is there any intellectually honest individual who does not believe that the Dems don't want total control over every aspect of our lives? Show me one bill they have proposed lately where they are in favor of empowering the individual instead of the state.
This is just another chink in the armor.

I think it would be an okay thing if they could specify and clarify exactly when they would take control. Our cyber security is a joke. Do you know how many open wireless internet connections there are. When ever I go into an office park, I can always get access to at least one, where they aren't even protecting them with a password. Anyone could get in there and have at it. You can use their connection to do as you please, so yes, it isn't a bad idea for the government to take control of certain machines or systems in an emergency. I am actually trying to get into cyber security, so this is right up my alley.
The cash for clunkers deal was a joke, there was no reason for them to put that in there. I wonder why they even felt compelled to do so?

It is pure fear driving everything. Obama uses fear to push healthcare "kids are dying everyday.."and the stimulus package, W. did the same with the 1st stimulus and the war on terror and the Patriot Act "Terrorists are everywhere!" It is just how the government gets things done. Look at any issue and fear is used as a prime motivator.
