A guy had a GN for sale when i was in the army on base. I was inlove with it, it was MINT.

I called him up because the car didn't have a price. He was asking 5500 if i remember right, said he would take 4500, but i barley had 3000 to my name

Wish i would have scratched some money together and got it.

I looked around on a few GN forums last night... didnt see too many for sale that werent like at least 8K... I could prolly get 4k for the mustang as she stands.... but I dont wanna get a GN thats super cheap, cuz the ones I saw for that low were either in dire need or work or lacking an operating drivetrain...

sad thing is, the t-type Regals of that same era cost just as much... as much as I love the sex appeal of the GN, a t-type Regal would be killer, cuz nobody would expect it to be anything special... haha

IDK if it's important to you buy they only come in auto. I say stick with the fox, until you have the money to buy a GN and fix it up properly, otherwise you're gunna regret getting rid of a perfectly good mustang. I say do like I did and get some N20, or at least an H/C/I, I guarantee the fox will be more fun.

GN FTMFW

get it. better powerband, and just as good fuel economy. plus if you really want to get stupid fast, you only have to spend around $1k-$3k.

and i've never heard of them being money pits.

Awesome cars. My dad had zero reliability issues with his until the power level was far above stock trim. At the point when he broke the tranny he was running mid 11's at ~117-8 mph and got 25mpg on the highway.

That said, they are pretty pricey to get a decent one, and are far more expensive to mod than a 5.0 is. Since you are still in college, I would change something up with your car to make it more exciting because getting a decent 3.8T car is going to add extra hassle to your life in the form of scraping money together/loans.

+1
thats the reason im looking at that damn 305 camaro.
ive always wanted a nice 3rd gen but it will be a DD for a few years.
id HAVE to sell my t-bird if i end up buying it.
LATER (post graduation) ill prob 350 the camaro, or even better if funds allow drop in a
h/c/i LS1

i say do the same.
stick with your fox for now and save up a GN/Fox H/C/I fund.
every time you get change back, throw it in there. find a penny stick it in (your cap) there. trust me you'll be amazed how fast change ads up.
or make a budget.
average out your monthly earning over say a period of 6 months.
then brake it up into:
essentials (food, gas, school stuff)
fun (movies, nice clothes, games)
car
put away a little every month and see how much you end up with once you finish school.
go form there.
for now get a stall converter, shift kit or gears.
that will make the fox more fun
