did you stain that dresser? looks like its still just unpainted...

its got clear on it. about 4 coats. i chose birch cause i wanted a light color.

the biggest problem with buying bedroom sets and other dressers is the slides and hardware.

i used ball bearing metal drawer slides. they were ~30 bucks per drawer. x 9 = 270. but they will last just as long as the dresser itself. they wont wear out.

I love the smell of pipe tobacco, cigars, a good scotch (yum) and I can agree the smell of fresh cut cedar is quite nice...

and that is a nice dresser you built there. I wish my wood working skills were that good.

1. My fiance and I are going to start a company that sells car fresheners etc... of exotic scents.

Thus far we have: New Tire Smell, New Shoe Smell, Fresh Tennis Ball Can Smell, Burning/Cut Wood Smell, and a few others.

2. While I don't doubt that dresser is a VERY VERY high quality dresser. I don't see it being worth 3,000 dollars. Now, having said THAT, I would LOVE to get some quality hand built furniture *tables, shelves, dressers, etc...* Some of that stuff is REALLY REALLY nice, but you're paying so much for it that at this point in my life *just closed on first house today* I can't justify that much money.

But to back up OP, I think it looks badass, just not 3K dollar badass.
