Second nothin was actually in plain view, and I have 5% tint, so its not exactly easy to see into my car, especially with an all black interior late at night, although that may have lead them to think I had something to hide. Everything was hidden the only thing that was in the open was my bookbag, which was in the backseat. My back windows are covered by louvers so they couldnt look through them.
Also my alarm went off, but they cut all of the wires to my Viper alarm system to system.
The only reason I left my bookbag in my car was because I go to UMD College park but live in Baltimore. I work all day and then take night classes in college park, so after driving down to College park after working all day, and sitting through class i decided to stay at my girlfriends apartment instead of driving 30 mins back to my house. Since It was around 11 pm and I had to leave by 7 to go to work, I jus decided to leave my bookbag sitting in the backseat instead of taking it in her aparment, only to bring it back out in the morning.
The garage to her apartment is supposedly "a secure facility" but the gate to it has been stuck up for 3 days. You normally have to have a swipe card to get in or out at all, however that isnt the case since the exit gate has been stuck open.
And like I said, they hit 5 other cars, and the list of cars they hit was:
My 06 Mustang
A brand new (month old) Challenger
A brand new Volkswagen with 5% tint as well with an Avic Z1 in it, they didnt touch that
A BMW 7 series
A Corvette Z1
A Lexus SUV
So I dont think my car got hit randomly because of what i had sitting out. There are 200+ cars in that garage, the guy parked next to me had his Magellan GPS and radar detector blatantly laying on the dash. No one touched his car. All of the cars they hit had some kind of problems with the ignition after the break in, either loose parts or they took out the ignition, which leads me to think that after they tried to steal my car, but cut the wires to my Viper alarm to silence it, they realized they couldnt start it since they cut my ignition wires through the Viper system, they just decided to steal and wreck everything they could.

I found the problem. Where exactly was this when it was stolen?

So whoever owns/operates the parking garage has to pay for all his shiz that got stolen? I could be wrong tho.

And the car wasnt in baltimore, it was in college park, md where the University of Maryland is located (not too much of a better area, on the outskirts of DC)
And thats what I was talkin to the cops about. I live in Baltimore city for years, and my car never gets touched. Go somewhere else, and this happens.....ive always said I feel safer in baltimore since I know which areas im safe in and which im not.
Also my part of Baltimore isnt bad, not all parts are. I have parked my car in bad parts though, never had an issue. Baltimore is bigger into gangs, drugs, and murder, car theft and robbery is lower down on the To Do list.

What the management company told me was that since I am not a paying resident, I had no right to park there, and therefore parked at my own risk. Even though there are no signs saying that parking in the garage is for residents only. I fought with them more and more, and they finally offered to pay half of my deductible, since there were 5 other people in the office complaining at the same time.
Im just worried about getting my insurance to cover the aftermarket things I had that are ruined.
My ipod, belongings and such, would have to be put on a homeowners claim, which since the deductible for that is $1000, its all pretty much gone.

College Park is NOTORIUS for chopping cars, theres even rap songs about it lol. (Yung Joc SON!) My buddy got his acura integra stolen (also goes to UMD, maybe UMDBC?)EIther way he was in College Park when it happened. I GUESS you could say he got lucky because he got it back, if i remember right it was missing wheels/intake/steeringwheel? and some other stuff. He didn't get it back for months, pretty lucky, needless to say he bought another car with a detachable steering wheel, wheel locks and i think a fuel cut-off switch lol, only to get his car back a few months later.... which now makes 440whp. lol sry for the rant.
