I've broke this situation down more than once tons of times and I've come to a simple control to explain it...

terrorists had knives and took over the entire plane filled with unarmed civilians and crashed into a building killing thousands.... now lets take the same scenario and give everyone a knife, the terrorists wouldn't have even got up to attempt a take over
everyone having guns won't stop people from getting hurt... but it will thwart violence more than it will support it

No, if the terrerist know that they would have had knives they would have sent knife specialists or better yet somebody with a gun. If they can get weed in county, terrorist can get a gun on a plane.

yeah, a knife specialist is going to stop 250+ pissed off americans with knives.... and way to mis interpret what I said... AGAIN, a knife was only suggested to even the odds, if you send a terrorist with a 9mm lets give all the passengers 9mm's and see how fast he gets up

Have you even been on a plane? The aisles are small, a person walks to the front of the plane, grabs a stuwartist with a knife at her throat, people arent gonna jump up and stop him because people dont want to see the struawtist(sp? i dont care) die so his partner kicks in the door at the same time and the pilots arent gonna go hero mode so bam, and if people do start trying to come to the front the bodies will just pile up causing a barricade...I can keep going on forever, I love stories.
WTF ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT? I said county, as in my county jail, there are many "non conventional" guns in the world, google them.
and how do you suggest you arm people equally? the point of being a terrorist such as these is that they were "sophisticated", as in they had a plan and trained for years, stop under estimating, it only makes you look ignorant.
