I believe only law enforcement should carry guns. How is a cop supposed to know in a matter of seconds if a person with a gun on their hip is a crazy about to go on a shooting spree or just a typical lunatic with a permit to open carry?

I personally don't feel safe in a world where the average dipsh!t, like Rmodel...no offense, is legally allowed to walk my streets with a loaded weapon. I want to file a class action suit against every association and every state that advocates open carry or closed carry by anyone other than law enforcement. I want to sue for millions so that my family is taken care of just incase I get shot and killed by a guy legally carrying a gun shoots and kills me because I accidently cut in line at the DMV after he had a hard day.

I don't care if some dipsh!t like Rmodel (no offense) shoots himself. But just like this story about the open carry woman. Eventually you are going to get so comfortable with the fact that you have the right to shoot someone for your own protection, that you will slowly start rationalizing every little reason you might feel the need to shoot someone until some husband says his wife didn't add enough salt to the hamburger helper, and she blows his f**king brains all over the table and says, ooopzy daisy, I meant to just say add more salt, but I was mad and my gun was handy!

Bottom line, I won't stand for a society of idiots walking around with hand guns and I will vote against any ballot allowing it for the rest of my life.

...ok MF, you can have your soap box back now. I said what I needed to say.

And in Oklahoma - that means he has to bust meth labs regularly. Does NOT make him popular with the criminals. (it is nice though that he's got such close ties to the cops - that's how we get away with drag racing in town on a regular basis. *EG*)

We keep a loaded 9 MM handy, our kids are taught to handle a weapon properly and safely - not to fear it but respect it, and I have no problems with the idea of shooting an intruder multiple times - one in the head, two in the chest. I also happen to have a 12 gauge by the bed right now as said husband is out of town on a hunting trip. I also have a Big Bertha golf driver laying on the floor by the bed and a huge Mag-lite if all else fails. LOL

All that being said, the sad part about this is that she seemed so proud of her gun, yet the person that killed her wasn't the dreaded stranger intent on robbing and raping her and her children - but her own husband and the father of said children.
OMG, I love you.

Eh, it shows that it was most likely a murder-suicicde. I'd assume it was the husband that did it because she was trying to get a restraining order against him. Also, she removed his name from a million dollar lawsuit.

Who knows though. It's the American citizens right to carry and own firearms, and a gun is only as good as it's shooter. Just remember Lord, almost every murder and crime is committed with an illegally acquired weapon. I'll be carrying(CC) when I turn 21, the world outside is going to **** it seems.

I think this is a perfect example of people that convince themselves that a situation needed a gun to save their life.
I will bet that if this is in fact true, which I think you're lying, you probably won an argument about how they get all that cheese flavor in a cheese-it, by pull a gun on them. Good thing you had a gun.

This article looks like a simple case of domestic violence. And just speculating here, but it also looks like it stemmed from the whole media thing at the ball game, which eventually landed those two with a million bucks. Not surprising that a million dollars came between that couple.

About open carry or needing a weapon. I have always kept a handgun or rifle nearby. And I have needed it on way more than one occasion. My brother and I were stopped at a light one day, and I mean in the middle of the day, and some black dude reaches in, unlocks the door and gets in the back seat. I turned around to face him and his knife, but fortunate for me, he was faced with a compact 45. Nobody ever said a word, he just got out. I also pulled into a gas station years ago, but something told me to skip it and not to go in. I watched a guy that had just finished pumping his gas walk in to pay. I also noticed the clerk staring at me and someone in front of her. I drove off, and as soon as I did the guy walking in was shot in the back of the head as he walked in by the guy standing with the clerk, then the clerk was shot in the face. I had a 30-30 rifle in my car since I had been deer hunting earlier. If I had any idea, I could've stopped that bastard dead in his tracks. From then on, I ALWAYS carry where I can legally do so. I'm guessing guns would of been a bad idea for the pilots during 911 too, not to mention the passengers. Good thing no innocent people were carrying, who knows, they could of crashed those planes into the world trade centers, or even the Pentagon.

Hmmmm, being that you are an admin person I will refrain from replying the way I would really like to. Let's just say that the respect that I had for you has essentially vanished.
