Those are up there, but in my opinion "Reign In Blood" blows those two out of the water when it comes to an extremely good thrash album. I would be hard pressed to find another 30 minutes of thrash that can match it.
Agreed. Definitely near the top of my list. Season in the Abyss is close to it though.

I have to agree with this.
For the record. At the time of Anthrax and Metallica, we labeled it speed metal, not thrash. Then Metallica became more of a heavy metal band when they slowed it down.
Kirk had his own style in Exodus. After DM left Metallica, much of Kirk's solos on Kill Em All much replicated what DM had. I would call it Kirk feeling, Dave playing. As most of you know, dave wrote rhythm and lead sections for the first three albums. I would almost bet that some of his influence was used later on. However, it does not matter, as most bands will just pop in another band's CD and get ideas based from different bands. Otherwise, they would both be experiencing writer's block.

Seek & Destroy, The Four Horsemen, Whiplash, Phantom Lord, Metal Militia, Ride the Lightning, For Whom the Bell Tolls, Creeping death ALL THRASH SONGS. Sure, some songs like Fade to Black may have not been that close to thrash, but it does not make up for the fact that they were thrash metal. Can't say that now, but they were.
You're more ignorant than I am, see the quoted text above you in bold.
Thrash isn't a group of people, it's a sound, it's a defnition of a tonality of music, a definition of a timbre and tonality that transcends who made up the bands that are making the music.
Thrash isn't "the big four" it's a type of music, and and metallica alone doesn't fit.
When they had mustaine, MAYBE, but afterwards? Hell no.
They weren't hard enough, they weren't creative enough, far too mainstream.
Metallica =/= thrash
Megadeth, Anthrax, Slayer, Old Pantera were all true Thrash.
Metallica was always and will always be a sell-out

He wrote Kill em all, 2 songs on RTL, and it's all hearsay about writing songs on puppets, there's no proof.
