the steal top is the best thing ever its like a work bench and you can write on it without worrying like torque specs etc..and they come off with a bit of brake cleaner

I think riptide has the more expensive one, and I like it a lot.. works very well and the rubber pad makes it so you can do some pumpkin jacking. (jack from the rear diff. so you can swap both rear tires out at the same time)

do you know what the difference is between the 2? they look the same. riptide had a craftsman but it sucked, then it blew up.. so he returned it.

You can argue it all you want, but there is a difference between a $2000 box and a $5000 box. But that's if you're talking about needed it prefessionally for use everyday. No reason to have a 6 or $7k tool box for your house.
im a tech and i use a craftsman lower and husky upper box. i hate the craftsman box with a passion, its very cheesy and just sh!tty. the husky upper is built a lot like my MAC box i owned and had stolen, thats another story. it is a very strong box and i like it a lot but like i said im running out of room and need something new. i know the guy i used to work with had one for at least 10 years and it seemed like a nice box...always went in it to barrow tools lol.
this is what i have now.

I've seen a US General at harbor freight and was really shocked, it actually seemed like a half way decent box. I use a crapsman, but I'm just not far enough along to justify spending big money on a Matco/Snap on/Mac box.

But to all those saying they're overpriced, you get what you pay for, and Matco/Snap on boxes are ****ing nice.
