i saw this whore do a sweet trick with about 7 ping pong balls...
I've seen a US General at harbor freight and was really shocked, it actually seemed like a half way decent box. I use a crapsman, but I'm just not far enough along to justify spending big money on a Matco/Snap on/Mac box.
But to all those saying they're overpriced, you get what you pay for, and Matco/Snap on boxes are ****ing nice.
I have the first one on the list, but in red with black draw handles. It's ****ing nice.
I also have a side locker for it. They were running a special when I bought it and I could get a top hutch or a side locker. The hutch was ****ing stupid looking, so I got a side locker for free. The Matco guy said it was like $1500 or $2000 on it's own, so it was a nice little add-on. It's nice for tools that come in big cases, like the specialty pullers and **** so they don't take up drawers. It's got two drawers on the bottom and a shelf in the middle. I keep my jacket/sweatshirt/whatever in it, too.
I think riptide has the more expensive one, and I like it a lot.. works very well and the rubber pad makes it so you can do some pumpkin jacking. (jack from the rear diff. so you can swap both rear tires out at the same time)
do you know what the difference is between the 2? they look the same. riptide had a craftsman but it sucked, then it blew up.. so he returned it.
The expensive one raises higher and does do with less pumps.
I use the cheap one for pumpkin jacking, and it works fine.
I only buyu craftsman hand tools. The power tools, pneumatic tools, and random stuff like jacks are garbage.
honestly when you upgrade i would go with this style:
it holds a lot and the large blue one is too much i think.
and checkout the steel top
it works great as a work bench!
and if i need to write torque specs or car info down, i just use a sharpie on the steel top and its there when i need it and i dont loose a silly bit of paper
then i clean it with brake cleaner!
and i can wheel it closer to the rack if i need, it works for everything!
