I just did a quick search and found a 88 SS for 3K that needs head gaskets and the body would need to be painted.

LOL...needs paint job is an understatement. ^that car looks to have hail damage...and doesnt run. i'de give him $800.

the one you are lookin at tho i'de probly give 1000-1500 for. it's high mileage, and a northern car. snow does not do good things to cars.

edit: i just searched autotrader and there r ONLY 4 monte's in my state, all between 8k-11k, 2 of which were aero coupes, all of which had low mileage, all in pristine condition. hahaha awesome.

Snow is not the thing to worry about, its the salt they put on the highways. Lucky for me, the province I live in doesnt put much salt down on the highway in the winter. I can always tell when a car has come from the east (Ontario), the frame/undercarriage is rusted, even on cars a couple years old.

IMO 170,000km isnt all that terribly high, 100K is basically brand new I think. the 200K mark is when I start thinking its gettin pretty high mileage.

Yeah I seen that too. If there was less body damage I would consider bidding on that but its trashed.

I have always liked the old grandprix/monte carlos/grand national (g body or whatever the hell they are) cars

Rip the engine out and install a 350 or a turbo six.....

Don't you gappers have to get a rebuilt status for your ritten of cars?

No, we just need to get the inspections done. The monte carlo only needs mechanical inspection so it should be pretty easy to get it on the road.
