It looks like it has upgrade on the corner of the box. So what does that mean, no going from 32 to 64 because you would have to completely wipe to switch?

not sure how MS handled it this time, there was talk about just having to input your key to validate the win7 upgrade install

IIRC a key works for both 32-bit and 64bit

Now the question, 64b or 32b? My computer is currently running the 32b version of Vista but has a 64b processer. Whole it be worthwhile to upgrade to 64b or just alot of hassle for a minimal gain?
Why would it not be worthwhile? If he has a processor that isn't giving him the full performance, why not go with 64B? It shouldn't be anymore hassle than installing 32B.

I don't know if its worthwhile, that's why I asked. Never dealt with or really gave thought to 64 over 32 bit. I just heard about compatibility issues.

Most stuff has a 64B version or runs fine on 64B. 64B is the future, pretty soon 32B will be obsolete.

Pretty much. The problem is usually with older hardware.

Fair enough, looks like 64b is the one to go with.

I don't really use hardware to begin with, the oldest piece I have is my old Sansa MP3 player, about 4 years old.
