I was listening to some guy on the radio this morning that claimed the only team that could beat USC this year with Barkley is Oregon.
should be a pretty good game. Both my Fire Prevention and my Building Construction teachers are going to the game, so I'll see what they have to say tomorrow.
Let me settle this, the money the pro athletes make, is simply based on the amount they generate.
They earn it because they deserve it. Bottom line.
Of course we would all love to see teachers, Cops firemen get more money, but that has nothing to do with pro sports..
+1..also particuallarly with the NFL you figure there are 32 teams in the NFL, and 53 players max per team, that is 1696 players, so say 1700 including people on IR, 1700 out of BILLIONS of people in the world, not to mention the big money makers are even less, Quarterbacks, there are what 80 or 90 QBs in the leauge? Hell call it 100, if you are in the top 100 in the WORLD at a position, you deserve some money for that.

Pro athletes are not overpaid....and no EMTs, teachers, firemen, etc. are not underpaid.
There are very very very few people who are capable of being pro athletes....being an EMT/teacher/fireman/etc doesn't really take anything that special.

yeah, choosing to risk your life for others, who often times don't appreciate, isn't special. good point.
