"Intelligence" is relative. Maybe she's a complete stupid ass when it comes to common sense..

im gonna file this under "who gives a turkey?". intelligence quotients don't mean you will amount to anything. and it's kinda funny, most "geniuses" i know don't do **** because they're smart enough to know they have very little impact on the world. most people smart enough to make a change in the world lack the social skills to do anything worthwhile, probably because they have been trained since youth to think they're better than everyone. i was in "gifted and talented" as a youngin and i just ended up resenting it because it held back my social skills more than it helped my academic skills.

8 year olds dude.

hell my friend's IQ is 140 something and he is a jackass. There has to be people smarter than his Harvard going ass.
if she's 8 years old, either A. She got lucky, or B. She has a great memory, or C. She's the smarttest person in existence, since the dawn of humans.

IQ tests are completely retarded, there is a simple algorithm for every single type of problem they can give you, as long as you can remember it, you're going to get a good score.

Does that mean you're intelligent? Not one bit.

IQ tests are a complete waste of time

Oh, and if she really was that smart, and the parents were just keeping her in 2nd or 3rd grade because they didn't want to treat her like a "freak", then her parents are ****ing retarded.

well, they have spent all their savings on her so, I think they are doing what they can. If a college gives her a scholarship at 8 years old, I would think they would be the o-tard...seems to young to have a college life to me.

I realize that it may be beneficial but, I also see where it could affect her social life in way to where it could be detrimental.

On the other hand, if she is already a doctor at age 18, maybe that is less time for her to screw up.

I on the other was raised to go out fail in life and then work for everything I have. Sucks but, some parents feel a person should work so they feel like they earned what they have instead of it being given to them.

After going to college at age 24 and seeing how much kids take their education for granted, I kinda agree with him. Still sucks to not have a head start though.

well soon I will have a masters, in addition to my B.S., at which point I would agree with you.

I see no reason for a social life, all it does is distract from what's really important.
