How about the automatic cobra? Did they even make them?

No cobras came from the factory with an automatic, I bet that was installed for the strip. That car has probably lived a very hard 11,000 mile life at the strip.

sticks are good for impressing high school kids, automatics win races......

if trailered, down and back, that car could have 20,000 passes down the 1320, or owned by some old guy that couldnt drive a stick...but id be willing to bet it was beat

Yeah, but a properly tuned shift points will make your car 5x more consistent then the guy driving stick. But yes, on the street, sticks are more fun. Freud would probably have something to say about men deriving enjoyment from having your hand on a stick...and I probably would agree.

Straight line races that is.
But the Cobras were built with road course in mind, where automatics ain't worth jack.

Yeah, what I noticed is the hood fits like ****. Prob a Mr. Bodykit hood, never had any success with those. And it says it has a stall, id be interested in knowing the number. between the aod, stall, and tires, she was def rode hard and put away wet. not to mention all the other mods: pulley, lt headers, custom (im guessing alum) driveshaft. This bitch was launched time and time again.

No, they're just way more fun to drive unless you're on the drag strip. If you're on the autocross course, they're a thousand times better. Like pascal said, the Cobra was designed with road courses in mind (how else would you explain an IRS on a Mustang?).

And this is coming from one of those high school kids who has owned both an automatic and a manual. I love my first car (the automatic) to death, but the manual is so much more fun to drive.

The hood looks like it fits like **** because the latch is popped.
