Ok yes technically its legal, but how about the fact the 99% of the time when a cop pulls over a person for speeding, running a stop sign, etc....and finds out they are also a cop they don't write them a ticket "professional courtesy"

shouldnt the police uphold the law 100% all the time................isnt that what you guys have sworn to do?

Nope. There's something called "discretion". I don't give every citizen a ticket either. What's your point? Sometimes the situation and circumstances surrounding it dictate a warning.

F#ck you and your law then, mkay?
It's there for making revenues and nothing else.
That's why they don't even use cops in most of parking tickets issues.
It's a f#cking nuisance.

I was hit by a car (I was NOT in a car myself) and shot at from less than 15 feet by a guy with an SKS within a 6 month period. Neither made the news, you'd be surprised at what happens in your community that you have no idea about.
i think his point was they were getting paid WAY more then the cops who deal with the trash much more often

and dont say youre getting screwed, they are paid that due to the cost of living. $8k for property tax on what, a $300k house? is crazy. granted, it isnt better out here where a house thats $200k is paying $4500 lol

Not any more "harassment" than going to a shopping center, driving around and ticketing every car in the fire lane. I still don't see a problem lol, they're ticketing some cars for parking violations, who gives a ****? Also, how is this proof that "more than just a minority of cops are ********" lmfao.

Now, the real question is should I go to a fair tonight, or out dranking with 4 girls...

Well you don't like girls, so you should probably go to the fair to find you a nice cowboy

Steve, at least have the ***** to come out and say "Yes I DO believe that cops should be above the law"
Just remember that if you and your cop buddies keep pissing of the general population of this nation we WILL put you in your place.

Let's cut the crap guys. As Southland has taught us the law is not just black and white, there are many shades of grey in between. Yeah this seems a bit like harassment but if the people actually paid attention and didn't break the law they wouldnt be getting cited. Furthermore like hlistr said you dont give everyone you stop a ticket, different circumstances call for different things... the same as if you see another officer completely lose his mind and start beating an unarmed civilian you have to intervene...

Who said TV isnt good for you...

Yeah, I know...I don't have it so bad. The cost of living isn't that horrible around here.

from what i know from people who i knew who were police what they have told me is you gotta start out with petty stuff first. they gotta start giving tickets for things they themselves might not even wanna. then they can move on to bigger things. this is how i have been told it works most of the time.

my house was worth just under $600k when i bought it, but i did get it for $535k. i think it was $589k when i bought it. only 10 years ago it was around $300k, and then during the housing bubble in 06 it apparently was above $900k grand. i closed on it actually in may of last year i think it was. i've rented in this neighborhood before, and the area is really desirable. the house was built in 1960, 2000 square feet, 5000 square foot lot. nice two car garage though which was added onto it about 20 years ago according to records. i've only had it for a year. now i put over $300k grand down. half of that was an inheritance from my dad's life insurance. when he died my mom gave us some of that cause he wanted all the kids to get something. of course it started out a little more, but i had to pay some bs state inheritance tax. i know the life insurance payout isn't supposed to be taxed, but i guess when it's dispersed it is. i also had $80k grand from a house i owned, and sold years ago that had been sitting in the bank, and other money i've had in the bank for over 20 years that i added to every time i could. so luckily i only have to finance $197k over 15 years. have it paid off before i'm 55 which is good.

now up in north jersey there are towns with $10-$14 thousand a year property taxes, and the houses are only worth $300k. i'm in a beach town, and we make a lot of money on beach badges.

I have no idea what they are talking about. Maybe they mean newer coppers may lack skill and investigation experience so those cops may have to resort to minor violations so they don't put up zeros when it comes to traffic enforcement (and sniffing out dope/dwi's)

Rochester will pay out...
This is what always gives me a laugh
Rochester will pay out...With insurance...That's funded by the city...

So instead of Rochester getting a new school next year, or re paved roads...They'll pay this dingbat woman...With tax payers dollars.
I'm SURE the Police will learn they're lesson from that! LMAO.

yeah and that will be that, instead of the officers receiving their appropriate punishment it will get swept under the rug with enough taxpayer money.

I would never park in that neighborhood, looks like a **** hole. if i did park in any neighborhood like that though, i'd park within 6" of the curb, i measure it with my ***** every time, gap must be 2x my ***** length.

it also pisses me off when i see people park too far away from the curb, it causes driving issues because there isn't enough space for cars to pass each other. The person who they were supporting may be within her rights for recording and displaying a video, and these cops were within their rights for ticketing illegal parking.

bitches gonna be bitches.
