To be fair the Mustang does need an IRS, just saying, and the interior quality pre 2010 was subpar even to some econoboxes. Top Gear has liked American cars in the past, remember the ZR1, CTS-V and Challanger US test?

Oh I agree that the mustang needs an IRS.

and they did rave about the corvette, but then the next season they had a zr1 at the studio and Jeremy just complained about how it was too "rash" and raw and unrefined. He also went on about how it was made of plastic and the one he drove in america broke down....

I remember the challenger/zr1/cts-v episode... they did the standing mile at the salt flats over and over... of course the car is going to have an issue when you beat the **** out of it over and over with little cool down time....

I do wish they had a mustang or something for that bit... you had the vette and the caddy, both with the same engine, then hammond in the challenger...

but I wanna see how that snake fares against the train.

i dont think they can say too much about the inside of the shelby, I sat in one, and in a boss when I was getting my mustang serviced at the stealership... good lord the new mustangs have a nice cabin... I want to retrofit one into my 2005

I actually just saw the one with the GT today. Clarkson loved it and bought one.

I'm not particularly concerned with how they say it's unrefined and cant handle. I am however excited to hear him go on and on about the power.

They pull like mad through the 160s.

But they still manage to put the GT in their Worst Car in the History of the World special.

If I remember right he liked it because of that reason. I think he said you had to be a mad man to want one of these, and that is why I like it.
