Both lizards eat the same thing, and both are eaten by the same bird, the Great Red Reticulated Akiba. Well if the lizards hunt for prey amongst the granite rocks of the valley they live in, both would be pretty visible and likely have the same chance of being eaten. But if one day a 99 poops out a light gray baby 99 due to a random mutation in its DNA, it has a better chance of blending in when finding food. As a result the chance it finds a girl 99 to do the lizard with and pass on its genes is a good deal higher.

Now if the gene that made the baby 99, gray isn't receive that new baby 99 will probably be gray. And so it goes on. If this happens in a few lizards it can spread, since the yellow ones are more likely to be eaten without the color advantage, and eventually most of the 99's will be gray, though likely still small and oriental. Being harder to spot and thus catch and eat, the Reticulated Akiba will usually over see the gray 99's go after the Small-Horned Mishris. Thus it's way more likely that they go extinct. In this example the 99's are more fit to survive in their environment.
That's what I said. "nature evolves the best traits in and the worst useless traits out"
Whether it is a gray lizard having a better chance for survival amongst the gray rocks to pass on it's gray genes, or a healthier smarter thinking animal with better common sense and better hunting skills.
Like your lizards, neanderthals had a lot of sexy time with other similar animals and popped out children with better traits and survival for a changing earth. http://www.thewire.com/technology/20...ominids/42117/

There's proof that neanderthal man genes are still evolving out of the homo sapiens genes.

Its not necessarily 'best', just whatever is 'good enough' to not die.

Like octopi have better eyes than us. We have some retarded blind spot. They don't. Or having an appendix. All it does is explode.

Also, our nads should have an armadillo shell over them. They're kind of exposed out there. So what do we do? Cover it with thin fabric. We are just asking for a kick in the nuts, suhhh. Mother nature needs to make a force field around them. They are part of the reproduction cycle, for frig sak!

That's what I mean mother nature doesn't chose what to change. It's not a conscious force. If you're lucky enough to be born with a force field down there, well good for you go forth and procreate.

ALSO: YOUR TAURUSUS FACE EXPLODES.
BITCH.

See, that's why we need ludicrously powerful surface-to-orbit weapons.
