Default My 3 year old got a mustang for xmas

We got my little girl a mustang that we got used on craigslist that needs a bit of work. My first "mod" was to throw an 18 volt Makita battery in there to see what happens. hilarity ensued. the video is short because i had to catch her before she hit the wall. We're running it in the basement because there's a foot and a half of snow outside.

Same here...video wont work...

Depending on which one it is I might be doing the same think. I picked up a new 12 volt red mustang last summer for 130 dollars.

I REALLY want to paint it light blue and throw stripes on it with a small cobra badge.

We'll have to see if I can get the motivation to do so.

I don't have a YouTube account or anything...anyway suffice to say that putting in an 18 volt lithium ion battery made it MUCH faster. Right now it's disassembled in my basement. I'm painting it grabber blue and putting in lights and a stereo.

It's the older barbie one. I wanted that one because the head and tail lights have actual lenses. The newer ones have only stickers...which is a bummer because it's really easy to put led lights in them. I got it on craigslist for 50 bucks. It has a terrible black and tan paint job now.

Sounds cool man, I didn't know the older ones had lights that could easily be LED swapped.

That's pretty cool.

I'll probably just paint his and add a badge and a license plate like the real one and call it good.

Here is a picture of the nearly finished project. Still needs badges, lights, stereo, voltage gauge, rheostat pedal, and remote kill switch.
