yes tell them. If you have a long mod list just mention the biggest things. No reason to hide anything.... Is there?

Usually what I say is air intake, intake manifold, exhaust. (I don't mention the off-road or specifics of exhaust). I also don't bother telling them about the gears.

When do you break it to them that it's an automatic?

I normally just say its a V6 with exhaust and appearance junk
