Default What do you old farts do for arthirits?

Someone told me to try gelatin. They claimed it rebuilds collagen. I'm gonna try the pill form since it said on the bottle that is good for my nails. It also has a protein it...

I want to do something, all of my joints in my hands hurt. Both wrist hurt and my knee is hurting too....part of it is, i'm turning wrenches and not used to working but, I feel it could be arthritis since my grandpa had it real bad.

do you guys know what pain is? and what do you do for it?

well, its getting cold outside again...****in reached down to the 40s the other day. almost can't wait for the snowy stuff............................almost i don't have a twitter account nor have i ever been to a twitter web page (update: i have), but if i ever did decide to take the plunge i will let you know by posting it in this awesome little box of text (update: not really)! i like tacos lol...though between crunchy tacos and soft tacos i cannot really say which one is better. sometimes, the mess a crunchy taco leaves behind is a little annoying while the soft taco just doesn't have the same taste... cake is so much better than pie no, srsly. **** pie. ****ing

idk, years of cad drafting and video games at night took a toll on my hands. My wrist were broke at different times when I was kid and you know how that is.

I also have the elbows. Golfers/tennis. my bicep tendon likes to complain when I do curls...I just feel like a big punk bitch really. doing jits for the last year didn't help either

I'm about to get something I know will help the joint pain. I have to cycle off it though. I just feel gelatin couldn't hurt

Just become a big fat lumpy unmoveable piece of schit and don't do anything. If you don't move, nothing hurts.

Seriously though, if I know I'm fixing to get all physical & such, I'll pill up in advance to nip it in the bud.

500mg Acetaminophen and 325mg Aspirin work pretty good for me.
Gotta read the labels and keep track of how much you're taking.
Aspercreme with Lidocain seems to help a little as well.
A lot of the OTC Arthritis meds are just an extended release Acetaminophen and some may contain
Aspirin as well.
Aleeve (Napraxon Sodium) didn't help me much.
Booze does help, but read the Acetaminophen label in regards to booze.
I get it in my shoulder. Ice helps to at night when I'm laying down.
I feel your pain TrimDrip. Good luck.

My dad's friend has arthritis so bad they gave him chemotherapy.. (The dosages are low enough his hair didn't fall out, he was just sick for a couple of days afterward)..

also you should see a doctor about it right away, early treatment can save you years of pain. The sooner you get treatment the easier it is to treat/eliminate. There are actual drugs that help with arthritis, not just manage the pain.

And no- Gelatin is not a treatment option doctors use.

here is a list of treatments:
