I read an article on it that some doctors claim the re-admission rate (within 30 days of discharge) is meaningless and shouldn't be used. However, my grandmother had to be re-admitted multiple times due to doctor's (and staff) multiple failures on multiple occasions... and no surprise that hospital only has 2 stars.

They failed to find a heart defect during a stress test before surgery.. she passed out during the test and still did the non emergency surgery... causing her heart to stop repeatedly during surgery. then they failed to properly sterilize equipment and she developed an infection in the surgery site. then when they tried to clean out the infection her heart stopped again. They had a heart specialist come in to diagnose a bad valve.. she ended up losing the leg to the infection.

Sounds like the MF gang! It's better to cover yourself with Yak dung & bay at the moon! When you get sick enough... you may want to reconsider & go to the hospital, or you can stick to your opinions!

He was bitching about hospitals for half hour or so, & then I realized he'd stopped talking!

They seem to treat employees as if they have no life as far as scheduling nursing staff. Yeah the pay is probly nice but your basically never off because they are so understaffed your probly gonna be called in. They always play shady games pitting patients against insurance companies. I'm not even going to get into the liability shifting that goes on so much that nothing actually gets done and the fact that if you need drugs your only going to get what's been lobbied for, made legal, and happens to be the narcotic of the week .... Put it this way, if I have a real life threatening emergency, and any of you happen along. Just roll me face down so we can avoid eye contact that would make it awkward
