Need help with power on a stock '86 GT

I am buying a stock 1986 convertible GT and would like to make more power and increase sound. Anyone have any inexpensive ideas for a new guy with a project?

With the speed density computer on an '86, there's not too much you can do without messing up the computer. K&N Filter, full exhaust... those will help. But you need to avoid upgrading the camshaft.
