Default Buying used Mustang parts.

I'm real close to buying some used UCA's and LCA's from a facebook ad. It is selling Jegs LCA's and Lakewood UCA's as a set. 26k miles on them.
My question: Other than maybe having to replace the bushings, what can go wrong with these that would make me regret buying them? The asking price is 1/3 of current retail.
Any knowledgeable response would be appreciated...

part of the reason for buying aftermarket suspension parts is that the bushings are better than OEM. That being said buying used suspension components is a crap shoot... at 26K i'd pass. Those miles are probably spirited driving.

If you take the cost of the parts + new bushings + time and labor to replace the bushings you may as well buy new parts.

You're probably right. The bushings would most likely have to be replaced, and there would be some cost and labor involved. Also, it's really not a matched set. I don't know how important that is though. Thanks for the input. I think I will pass, and buy new.

I haven't heard much good things said about Lakewood. I am not saying it's bad, as I have never used their stuff. I would look at either BMR or Whiteline or Steeda.

UPDATE: I bought a new set of Steeda uca's and lca's. Should be delivered tomorrow.
Got a $60 discount on Black Friday sale.
I recently also bought and installed caster/camber plates from BBK, and some engine chrome from CJ Pony parts.
Working on some other things too by spring........

You'll be very happy with the Steeda products. I typically recommend them, BMR or Maximum Motorsports. All very high quality. Baseline suspension is also a great company for '79-'04 Mustangs.

I'm glad you recommend the CA's I bought. Don't think I'll get them installed until spring though. I'm afraid winter is upon us.
