Arrow 2001 V6 Reg or Synthetic Oil results?

Hello
I have a 2001 Mustang with a 3.8 V6 Automatic.

I just bought it and I imagine that the only oil that has been in there has been regular oil.

My question is this, what results have any of you out there had in using a Synthetic Oil in the 99 - 04 Mustangs like mine? Good - Bad - Leaking?

Thanks for all your help.

I didn't buy a Stang for its reliability. I bought it for the wood I get when I drive it.

Ok, i started using Mobil 1 5w20 Synthetic on my wifes stang when she had 40k on it, i said f' the Mobil 1 b/c Valvoline Full Syn is better. Pretty much anytime, once you get a good amount of miles on your stang, like even if its 30-40k. Like mine, once i switched from Conventional oil to Synthetic you'll usually started to leak a little bit. Just b/c the oil is thinner then conventional oil. I just used Bars Engine Stop leak on my '04 3.9L, havent checked to see if it has stopped leaking im sure it has. B/c ive used it on some of my s10's since i switched to high mileage syn blend, and completely stopped my pan leaks. My '04 stang wasnt really leaking that bad. BARS Engine stop leak works Great, its made NOT to clog up passages and the engine. Havent had any problems! GOOD LUCK!

Arrow Thanks you

Hey thank you both for the reply!
I mentioned all this to my dad and he strongly suggested that I keep using regular oil every 3000 miles. He also mentioned that the synthetic is very pricy!

Again thank you!
