Default Whatre you running for oil?

I just changed mine yesterday for the first time since i bought it, after reading the bull$h!t about Fram filters ill be tossing that tomorrow. (would've payed to read first, ha) but anyway, im running 5qt's of Motocraft Synthetic Blend in my notch...from what ive read 5 should be prime amount correct? anyone else running this? also, i would assume itd be good to run a Motocraft filter too...ive read most on here like those also.

i was talking to someone i know about oils, and he said i should also look into Royal Purple and amsoil. the purp i know is more expensive, not sure about the amsoil though. How do they compare and how do you guys like them?

I liked RP, but I couldn't really tell when my engine was due to a change in oil. It's much easier to tell when my engine needs an oil change with Mobil 1. Gunning on the weekends, Mobil 1 lasts me about 4k miles. And still has the goldish color. RP on the other hand, you have to be dedicated to the 3k mile change rule.

What a false statement. Are you implying that RP can only survive a change interval of 3000 miles? I've seen UOA from Blackstone labs testing RP well beyond 3000 miles and still had plenty of life left.

returns good results in our engine, and is an excellent bang for the buck.

Wanted to clarify that this oil ^^^^ is only for the GT500 5.4L (which Snakebite has), not our 4.6L GT engines that calls for 5W-20.

Didn't want the untrained eye to get confused.

The 4.6 was just a gleam in some engineering kids eye when they made his car dude. He drives an 89' notch....302 pushrod.
